Is there a definitive date for the introduction of the vented front skirt?
My car was built in early July 1964, the first time I rebuilt it in the 80's I used a full skirt.
I am going to refresh the car soon and need to know what spec front panel to use?
Any info would be great, many thanks, David

Re: full skirt or not?
Hi David, I put a vented one on my late July 64 dated car, but I did rally it for a while and wanted the air to the brakes!
Would be interested to know for sure who's correct!

Re: full skirt or not?
I thought the "vented" skirt was introduced the same time as twin leading front brakes which was in September 64. I could be wrong though.

Re: full skirt or not?
My car is also a July 1964 and it has the full skirt. It is my understanding that most of the changes like the full skirt happened in September as stated by InimiaD.

Re: full skirt or not?
September '64' sounds about right. My May '64' 1071 had the full skirt panel.
Cheers

I had a look in Parnell, he says July, then says maybe August! September Sounds possible!
If I ever restore my old 'Grandfathers Axe' again, I can go Full Skirt then!
Cheers
