Shortening pushrods

Post by carbon »

Does anyone on the forum have experience of making the standard 1275 steel pushrods any shorter by either grinding or machining down the lower end?

I am looking to make up a set about 2mm shorter than standard.

All advice gratefully received.

Hi,

perhaps you better try it with some rocker post spacer plates?

I've never needed to do it, however Des Hamil does describe how he's done it in his Books.
