I came across a great set of pictures taken at Downton in the mid 60's recently.
Amongst them was this great picture of Daniel Richmond & Samantha the Staffordshire Bull Terrier, looking in a distinctly "after lunch" sort of state.

Great shot! He didn't have a bad life did he. I doubt that was just after an early finish on a Friday either, more like Monday before going 'fishing' or back down the pub.
Now, looking at that photo do you believe all the reviews from the journalist at the time that Downton were the dogs, or did they all fall for the Daniel charm

Good question Andy, TBH I reckon it was a bit of both. I reckon the conversions were good & did work, but I also feel that a couple of bottles of Vintage Champagne & a very good lunch before being terrified in a Downton converted car would have done any harm to a good review.
I'll be posting about 30 shots from this shoot shortly, you can sort of follow the progress of the day. Needless to say the image above is the last one on the reel.
