I am pretty sure this is the WP I was tipped about.

The owner had a tyre fitter place in that area, and wrote it was a Margrave MK II,
all rust fixed, exept doors, and a famues 1st owner - possible a Mick Jagger connection ?
look foreward to hear what the logbook spills ?

Also has the correct colour for a Coachbuild ;)

yes, according to the old photo it was, but there were also info & pic, that suggest it belonged to Marianne Faithfull ?
maybe Mick Jagger bought it for her ?

Anyway, will be interesting to see what the logbook say ?

I had the Jagger story, from a friend of the owner (if its the same car?)

That lovely pic with Marianne Faithfull was taken outside a courtroom in the Summer of '67, I'm sure I've seen footage in a Stones documentary of her and Mick arriving there in it. If I've got this right, immediately after the court hearing Jagger is whisked off in a white Mk2 Jag to a heliport where he's flown to a TV studio to appear on a talk show and natter about the big drugs bust that he and Keef were embroiled in that year. After the hearing I think Marianne drives off (or is driven off by someone else, possibly Tom Keylock who worked for the band) in the Cooper S.

I see her car had a full length sunroof fitted

I assume this was so that she could open it to avoid, er, the problems that she encountered in other cars

The mk2 S W&P is now home safe and sound. Fitted the interior back in so it doesn't get damaged or lost. I stuck a benelite grill on just for effect but it will go back to original with rectangle spots and modified morris grill as W&P fitted originally.

Any news on the history Nev ? They certainly didn't make many like this, and what a bonus that the trim looks so good. If mine had it's original trim I wouldn't have let it go.

I have the history dating back to '74. But nothing from 70-74. The car was owned by Peter Mallisch (coach built reg before steve) between 83-04, in '99 he got all the DVLA records on the car but they only go back to '74. Where was the car for it first 4 years??? If any one has some old photos of the car it would be much appreciated ( the car was black with black vinyl roof and had the Reg no. 602 JGN)
