None whatsoever, nothing like mine ! Thanks anyway ! As for the rear bins as I undertand it all they did was take them back level with the seat pan and return them square to the side to give the extra room for the seat . They beefed up the upstand at the forward edge of the seat pan to.999 ORX wrote:

Re: Wood & Picket Info
What about my forward bulkhead being cut square as if a Weber was fitted (which it wasn't), the huge dash mounting brackets fit perfectly around the aperture so I presume it's a W&P thing ? Another observation I made is that the wiring loom isn't a modified/extended original one as I imagined it might be, it is infact bespoke and braided with a red tracer I think.

That frontend is not done by Wood & Pickett, it was added when the car was restored.

I managed to get all the history together and the exact spec the car was built to from the first owner. Looking forward to getting started on it.JC T ONE wrote:Surf 1275 wrote: Any news on the MK III WP ??

And W&P Coachbuilders have just gone into liquidation again by all accounts (no pun intended) with some very disgruntled customers but continue to trade as "Wood & Pickett Mini Centre" , not difficult to do seemingly.999 ORX wrote: they went into liquidation so many times

Re: Wood & Picket Info
Dear WP Mini Enthusiasm Friends ,
Mr. Mike Standring announced that “Wood & Pickett Coachbuilders” had ceased trading and that the company became insolvent in July 2011. He has owed me a sum of money since 2008 for undelivered Mini spare-pa...rts and a failed Mini car restoration project. In short, Mike Standing robbed me of a tidy sum of money (I have saved for years), and all because I thought the name “Wood & Pickett” was synonymous with business integrity. I was wrong.
I imagine that similar cases have happened to his other customers. The insolvency process is being handled by Valentine & Co, an insolvency practitioner. I am lead to believe that there are no realistic prospects of funds being made available to customers or creditors who have sent or put their money into this company.
A new trading name, “Wood & Pickett Mini Centre”, which is slightly different from the previous name “Wood & Pickett Coachbuilders”, just appeared recently with the same logo, website, email address, phone number and contact person (Mike Standring himself). He runs his business from the same premises in Surrey and attends some Mini events. He also runs the business on Facebook under the name “Wood & Pickett Ltd”.
How is it that the UK insolvency laws protect people like Mike Standing?
Secondly, how is it possible that a trickster such as Mike Standing can make use of an established name, such as “Wood & Pickett “ by simply adding the word “Coachbuilders”, “Mini Centre” or just “Limited” to its name, and then mislead customers into thinking that this company is one and the same, original and reputable Wood & Pickett company. Even the history of the original company is included in the introduction of the present company.
I would appreciate any suggestions regarding this case. Thank you.

Well my W&P Mk3 'S' isn't the only one as I thought, not so as I've found another one that's still alive and there's also one here pictured on some packaging on an old coil of plastic chrome sill trim....

It's amazing that they are allowed to use the same name and address, makes it so simple not to pay your debts doesn't it, a bit of a break and back to work as usual, just forget the people that have lost there jobs and are owed money because of it!!!
