I was really interested in that marcos that was recently on ebay but it went for a lot. As for Jems, it would be great if someone made them again like they have for the ogle. At the moment I will keep saving for one. It would seem that I missed that Jem that was for sale on the mini forum as that would have Been ideal for me.
Yes you need to join the club to post on the Forum , But you do not need a car at all ,as i said before you get 4 mags a year and you can pay by paypal @ £16 per year, Members from all over the world, Take it easy if you do buy a project and view it first !, I was the guy that bought the one mentioned above (Jem ) and have had a lot of work to do on the body , There are a lot of steel parts moulded into the fibreglass and they tend to rot away including the mini cross member,

My car had rotted cross member ,rotted rear wheel arches , rotted rear subrame mountings, rotted steel tube bracing in the floor, The roof was broken, the rear end around the window was broken and it had a hole kicked in the side, Front wheel arches had been cut + loads of damage to the fibreglass and gell coat cracks, The car had sat on a trailer under a tree with no glass in it , the rain had penetrated the fibreglass and the weather had taken its toll, Frost had blown the matting apart, When i picked it up my wife came with me ,You should have seen the dropped jaw and look of daggers at me, Got it home then it became a laughing joke who ever looked at ( why did he buy that thing, ) But don't be put of, Just go and see the car and be prepared to do some work if its a project!
Just over 9 months i have done all the body repairs, fitted most parts and this week started the engine

To be honest the work on them does not put me off, I just need to get one first. I will try to get the best I can for my budget. I've never worked with fibreglass at this level but look forward to the challenge.

I'm not sure I can reply to PM's yet as I don't have enough posts I did send replys but I'm not sure everyone received them.
