Had a chat with Graham, this is what he had to say about the Twini;

"Some info about the Twini Pickup if you want to post it: The car was originally built with Mini challenge spec 1275 engines and on 2.85 open final drives (3.1 with overdriven drops). At Long Marston drag strip it did a 13.9 quarter, which wasn't amazing, but it crossed the finish line at 92mph in 2nd gear which was because it also had tall slicks on. At a Miniworld action day is saw 118 in 3rd (these were calculated speeds from the tacho telltales). It was obvious the gearing was miles out, so we rebuilt it with Tran-x LSD's donated by Dave Hirons and dropped the final drives to 4.0:1. We then took it to the Miniworld Hillclimb at Pestalozzi in Hastings where after practice it was the fastest car there overall. Unfortunately a cam follower in the rear engine let go on the first timed run and that was that.

I was short of money following the rebuild of the rear engine so we put it up for sale but despite lots of enthusiasm, we couldn't sell it. I broke it up for spares in the end, and Tim at Minimail bought most of the trick bits. The shell went to Oxford for grassing I think."

A sad ending for a very interesting car.
