i was born in london, my dad drinks cups and cups of tea everyday

but i can't stand the stuff nor coffee ,give me a cold drink any day

I think this can be summed up by the following quote:

This is attributed to Madame Lily Bollinger of the famous champagne house, she was talking about the bubbly stuff but I'd say it applies equally to tea on this side of the channel!

Tea? can't live without it!! PG tip's for me, my Mum has to send me a care package every month coz it's bleeding expensive to buy in Safeway!! I also drink coffee interspersed with more tea and yes a cup of tea is too wet without a biscuit!!

Other things to remember when making tea, always warm the pot before making the tea, the hotter the better. If making tea in a pot always put the milk in the cup first, then the tea, in our house we warm the cups too.

If you are making tea in a cup (not the best way to make it but sometimes unavoidable) you put the tea bag in, then hot water and milk in last.

Always put a cosy over the tea pot to keep it warm.

If you are drinking tea in the garage put it down on a piece of wood or similar, never on metal as it will suck the heat straight out.

Tea making according to Pete.......everyone will do it differently but my way is the best

Thanks I'd say I know much more about the subject now. I better understand your guys got so upset about the Boston Tea Party. I recently did a house call to check out a engine problem for a very nice lady from OZ. As happens from time to time I ask her to check that the car was in neutral and bump the starter. I was kneeling in front of the car when it lunged forward rolling me over. No real harm but she jumped out and ran to put on a pot of tea. She soon returned very sorry for the mistake and offering tea and cookies. Seems it's a catch all for those who love it. Steve (CTR)

Got to be milky and two sugars for me, and normally about one every couple of hours in winter. But not during the summer time, if the weather is hot, then its juice / water.
