Crikey!!
sorry to hear that - sounds like it could be someone who knew what was in the boot?
If so (as you say) they'll try to off load the stuff... not too many nos 1275 S cranks about so someone should hear something.
hope you track the thieving b*stards down!!!

Re: robbery.
Were the wheels still in the state you got them from me Littler?
If so 4 of them are particularly ratty looking with rusty, home made centre caps.... very distinctive in how bad they looked!
The other 5 were quite straight an looked quite tidy.
I can post pictures if you want me to Littler?

Bugger. And Bugger again.
Once because I can't show people what they look like and twice 'cos you'd invested time and money in them.

Re: robbery.
How about putting a wanted add in your local paper.
Wanted 10" mini wheels, cash waiting ?
Maybe the thief will chance his ( or her ) arm and reply to it if there is a chance for some instant cash.

Holy cr-p thats not OK, what a shame, and yes it would be a great shame, if it was all just sold as metal, and meltedlittler wrote:to be honset, i doubt the shit really knew what it all was, just thought wow that van is full of alloy and wayed it all in. the thought of that crank getting mashed in a crusher is really pissing me off.
we had this statue stolen in 2008
http://www.kristeligt-dagblad.dk/artike ... e-stjaalet
its 11 feet high and weighs 2.5 tons made from pure Bronce, it was 150 years old,
and was never recovered, there is a lot of metal theft going on, becourse the price has gone up.
hope you find out more?

Re: robbery.
Well I know how I'd feel if something like that happened to me but that, of course, is of little consolation.
Sound like someone knew the items were there otherwise why steal an old golf which presumably couldn't even be seen from the street. Old Golfs aren't really worth that very much...........are they? Mini items on the other hand can be worth a bit & can fairly easily be disposed of. The crank though might prove difficult to shift & its "scap" value surely wouldn't be fantastic.
Any chance that insurance might cover at least some of it?
