Welcome to the MK1 forum (MK3)

Post by mk1 »

Well,

Here we are. The third MK1-forum in 2 years. As usual I will be leaving all posts on the old forum as an archive but hopefully this new paid for forum will become as stable & popular as the main MK1 site.

I am deeply sorry about the inconvenience & disappointment caused to all users due to the poor quality of the last forum, this one promises 99.9% uptime, support & many new features that I am still to get my head around.

If this new forum is supported like the last 2 we will have a vigorous lively community in no time.

Well, I guess its over to you now.

Post some threads & bring the new forum to life.

Finding the right letters for the confirmation code.
It took 10 times until I got it.
Maybe it is just my problem.

Yes, the confirmation code was a bit hard to read. But doable :)

I'm looking forward to fill the Mk1 Forum Mk3 with new stupid questions

Mark - thanks lots for your effort of providing us with a good forum!! I realy appreciate it! And I think this one will start to live just as fast as the old one :)

Regards,
Jan

Andreas is right. I had to retry it several times until I could read the code.
But finally made it!

Mark, thanks for the effort on moving the forum to this apparently better place.

Yes, the visual code is a nightmare... took me more that 5 trials to finally succed!!! 8-)

It is a pitty that all the former post are not here. I guess the acces to the former forum will be ther somehow... right?

Cheers from Madrid

I'm here - the code thing is a bit tricky to read but if you refresh it enough eventually it is readable.

Roll on the chat and banter.....

I'm in. I thought it was just me with the confirmation code, but I only took 4 goes. :) I though that was bad enough.

To enable e-mail notification of new posts, go to your "User Control Panle" top left hand corner.

Hit the "Board Preferences" tab

Hit "Edit Posting defaults"

Highlight "Notify me upon replies by default:"

And you should receive notification of new posts.

Mark - how long do you think the original and Mk2 forums will stay live? Seems such a shame to loose all those years of posts and photographs. Is there any way they can be archived and perhaps a link provided on this forum?

Cheers: Chris.

Jeeze, two years and we're already in MK3 production?
Next thing you know, BMW will be hosting a much larger message bored for Mark.
