I heard an estimate of £5m, but that strikes me as rather low.

My pal set up a facebook group called 'keep the ecurie ecosse collection in Scotland' a noble cause no doubt, but I did have to point out they actually only spent a small portion of their lives here!

I bumped into the owner of Ecurie Ecosse (current incarnation, and who ran the '80s group C revival) but didn't like to ask if he would be bidding ;)

Rich, I recon you could make a mini version of the Commer with this:

http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Bedford-TK-Re ... 1e836e7e28

quite a bit cheaper, and you'd save a bit of the cost by weighing in the jib too

The estimate for the C-Type is £5 million alone I think!

Has anybody ever done an Ecurie Ecosse themed Mini???

I was going to paint my van ecosse flag metalic blue and have it signwritten as a 'Merchiston Motors' van, David Murrays garage business in Merchiston Mews where the team was based, but I never got round to it before I sold the van
