Can you identify this engine block?
Good evening. I found this block 10 meters a way from my Downton car in the same garage. The owner doesn't remembre anything about this block....can any one identify if its wrote saving it? Maybe its only an Authi Mini 850 engine and it can sit there forever, haha....
I also found a set of 4 brand new titanium rods...I'll take a pic of them!

Late thick flange 1300 block (casting 12G1279). A series rods. If it is 11 studed possibly has a tutrified crank (12G1505 ground off and 1817 stamped).

The 1968 CCC / Downton racers used 1300 blocks not cooper s blocks

From the rather poor quality photograph it is hard to tell but the engine number tag looks Spanish so it is probably an NMQ (rather than Mowog) 1275 block.
If that it the case, it will have a different casting number, 12G1283 or something like that.

Fass, all the above answers are wrong mate, sorry. The engine is junk, I'll happily take it away for you
