Whoever runs that has pilfered some nice images off the web there but there's so much misinformation attached to them it's hard to know where to start. Sometimes I think the age of 'copy and paste' just increases the speed things get dumbed down.

Text : it shows the Cooper Car Company’s transporter leaving the Goodwood paddock with its pair of Cooper Ss, for John Rhodes who drove the 1275 car (no 100) and Warwick Banks, the 970 car (No 111).

I think it's a different one to the others shown in this thread.

It's the same truck (BPC 5B) which was an Austin 45/Morris FH type truck as on the Facebook page above carrying the race Minis. The Cooper team used an early JB type van before that , then a later J type (I've seen that towing the Twini as well as F1 cars) the Mini van of course and lastly another (huge) double deck transporter in 68/69 for the Minis which I think was based on a BMC Mastif. I've loads of shots of 'em similar to above but can't post 'em up.

I try and share what I can but when you're entrusted by the copyright holder to not splatter their property all over the internet it becomes tricky, hence why I personally (usually) only post up low res (as Mab's done above). Mini & British Lifestyle (whatever that is) have made some attempt to spoil the images on Facebook, pretty unsuccessfully !

If you post your own or somebody else's shots up anywhere you've just got to expect they'll end up all over the place, even in the Mini glossies as one of my own personal pics did recently with no credit. I've even seen some of my own stuff I've got negs for on Ebay.

I found a few of mine on there as well. When I can be bothered to log on to faceache I will politely drop them a line asking were they got permission to use the pictures. I will have to brush up on my limited Italian (or use Google Translate) as I think the persons are based in Italy.

2 of my own photos turned up there, taken from this forum, some of Paul Costins have too.

Mixed emotions on that really, on one hand they are MY photos, and they have added their M&BLS logo as if they belong to them...

On the other hand, my car/photography skills have been deemed worthy of publication, so kind of chuffed at the same time...

The best example of pilfering I ever experienced was when my Mrs bought me a book about Minis one Christmas, I opened it & found a whole pile of images nicked from the MK1 web site!!!!!!!!!!

I got all indignant about it, but once I realised it was published in China I realised there was nothing I could do about it.
