Dipstick retainer
I want to make one of these for my 970S motor, any ideas how the works/race boys used to do it?
Was the spring like a bonnet lock spring? Any photos much appreciated.

Not sure how the Works Team used to do it, but this system has worked on my historic racer for more than 20 years

I used a clutch retaining spring for this on my racer, the dip stick never rattled or fell out, but I did run the risk of skewering my thumb every time I checked the oil
