guru_1071 - selling
hi all
some of you may remember this:-
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=7745&hilit=individual
which resulted in me re-registering using my 'rich@minispares.com' account
viewtopic.php?f=5&t=7747&p=55763#p55763
however, I have some stuff to sell, and do not want to use my 'work' log in as it could give the impression that my private sales have something to do with minispares - which they don't.
wanting to keep a clear line between work and my private sales I have received permission from Mk1 to use my old account as strictly a 'selling' account so there can be no confusion at all.
the items I will be selling are either second hand quality items / junk from my garage
OR new items that are NOT sold by my employer (i.e stuff like my signs)
I WILL NOT be selling ANY new items that can be bought from my employers - please be very clear on this!
I will not use this account in any other area bar the 'for sale' section.
hope this is clear and understood!
rich

I thought you were going to say you were selling yourself to fund a new project.
(Edited to add I am definitely not interested!!)

ha! - never
do you know, that car has been the best mini ive ever had, it lives outside, gets no love what so ever (not had an oil change or filter for five years!) and it just runs and runs.
its looking super 'shabby-chic' now, and looks all the better for it, its been crashed into, crashed, reversed into (countless times, normally by some stupid blind women who lives down the street from me! she has broken the back lights about 20 times now....) and it just doesn't worry me, its a refreshing change from worrying about every little detail and stone chip.
the only thing that keeps going wrong with it is that it keeps braking the bolts that hold the rear antiroll bar drop links on - and that's because its so low (and it makes me laugh that 'experts' will always say that an excessively lowered car will destroy the ball joints and wheel bearings....both of which are fine on my car - ive never had to reshim the ball joints, just give them a shot of grease every six months or so)
i think by next year its going to need some pretty major work, but it will give me a chance to sort a few of the things that really annoy me about it.
its been a surprising good example of how good a sprinted mini can be as an everyday car, the worse thing i find is looking at traffic lights, if your at the front of the queue its impossible to see them!
oh, and its a mistake to drive it through deep floods, last time i did i suddenly realised that i had bitten off more than the car could chew, but kept on going anyway - it got a bit wet inside and the dip switch now occasionally just turns the lights off rather than dipping them!

I think you do not know how to change oil, you told a similar story about your volvo.....not had an oil change or filter for five years!) and it just runs and runs.
