Mark,
I have got rid of a lot of the Speedwell stuff I had, but pretty sure I still have some guages, Weston rev counter, J Fray badges, throttle pedal extension and gear knobs if of use? I'll try to have a look over the weekend.

Excellent stuff Mark.
I guess you have probably had everything you need for the rebuild over the years & passed it on Great to have the photo record to work from, doesn't get much better.
I have a watch I can send you if you're stuck without one
Mike.

Mark,
Mike and me will be going to Stoneleigh Sunday 24th of this month for the restoration show, can you post some pics of the gauges just in case we find some.

What a cool car!!
I see in the Motorsport May 66 roadtest Speedwell called it a 1300TC - the TC standing for "Town Car". I see it was fitted with a Supertone 85 exhaust system and a Speedwell stabiliser bar at the rear. Nice gear!

I took some nice pics of the other one (FYL858C), the Graham Hill car, while it was residing in my friend's garage in Japan. I'll try to post them in a day or so if I can remember how to do it.

Re: I've just bought a new project (Mini)
was that the green car which was in Miniworld during it's first couple of years? Didn't Gerry Marshal have it before it ended up with Heritage Garage who were the owner at the time of the article?
Good to see that Marks car needed a set of special speedwell horns as the normal one was "inadequate for the speeds of which the car is capable" !
faster than the speed of sound?

It was certainly John Adair who sold it to my Japanese friend, and he tells me it wasn't expensive !was that the green car which was in Miniworld during it's first couple of years? Didn't Gerry Marshal have it before it ended up with Heritage Garage who were the owner at the time of the article?

I got the same impression about when he sold the peter Sellers car - not as dear as it might have been.

Re: I've just bought a new project (Mini)
Thanbks for all the encouragement!
I have posted pics of the gauges in question in the wanted thread, & have found an original R/C that I had lent to someone. I also have the exhaust system, all bar the link pipe, the anti roll bar, the badges, most of the engine is original, I have the oil cooler, carbs, and no doubt a few other bits that I can't remember at the moment. I was away from home at the weekend so still haven't had a good chance to have a real good look at the car but I suspect that I will opt top get the stuff that is obviously wrong, right first & then move on the the mods once the car is something like right.
Oh, & we took it round the block and I am somewhat sorry to report that at the moment its the single slowest mini that I have ever owned.
Didn't get a chance to do any pics, but will do soon.
