ive never seen a maranised a series before, but the b series are quite common

I don't think 125 quid is out of the way for that - its certainly a talking point!


my dad has a maranised 1930's lagonda lg6 engine that's a work of art, all the alloy parts that could come into contact with the seawater (as it was used for cooling) have been made in bronze, a mate of his found it in Saudi in the early 1970's when he was over there doing oil work, he stripped it and brought it back part by part as hand luggage :lol: :lol: :lol:

Whan I was a small boy our family had a canal holiday on the Shropshire Union canal. Our little cabin boat, called the Avon Vale, was powered by a marinised A-series. We got to see it quite a lot because the brass propeller pins kept shearing when the prop got caught in water weed.

I always thought the Morris Vedette was a side valve Iv'e got one :? BMC was the Commodore & Admiral (I think)
Where are the electrics the Vedette has an impulse magneto.

Update there is or was a Mk 2 version. :oops: :roll:
