Do it Rich, Do it  but keep it on standard offset wheels to ensure you get the desired effect

bet you all had forgotten this car!

I had a nice break away from it, got my gtm finished, did a load of work on a couple of other minis I have

its been more boring welding, and we all know what a rusty mini looks like now!

back qtr off

and back on

both back qtrs. are done now, as is all the rear valance, the closers and all the boot holes and furniture.

'all' that's left do is finish the rear back panel, new LH inner wing and a panel and it will be creeping towards prep and paint.

that will be next year though, its gone back into storage as I need my garage for another project!

oh, and notice the bottom corner of the door, where the king of the dick heads rolled the shell over on the spit and remembered just too late that the door wasn't latched.........

argggg!!! that was a mint door before that, it made a real mess of it :( :( :( :( :(

what a prat :?

Sorry Rich, I hate to say it but it looks like you've got your rear subframe/heelboard alignment all wrong. ;)

Interesting thought removing subframes for a wooden chassis and shortening the wheelbase... Has given me much needed inspiration for my project!

its not wood, its rusty 2x2 box section

a decent shell trolley is a must, it helps you quickly roll a project out the garage when your sick of the sight of it!

this one is the size it is so that it doesn't get stuck on the 'legs' of my spit, I can roll it under, drop the shell from the spit onto it with out any messing

it originally had small wheels, but the tyres kept rotting and going flat, I got so sick of it that I altered it to use mini wheels

Yes you can't beat a good trolley rich . Built this last week . The uprights unbolt so as to allow the subframes to be fitted . Once on the wood the entire car can be built up , even possible to fit the exhaust to in the gap between the wood and shell .

Looks great! Any chance you could share the blue-prints for this ?

I'd love one - but having it shipped over here would cost a fortune so only option would be to make one here...
Cheers,
