Re: Project Lunchbox.... The Minus
ted
that looks great
once its passed its mot you want to swop the plates for some pressed ones with the earlier font - they will suit the age of the car far better - that modern font just ruins old cars
i got a set for my mayfair and they look great
i wish i was still at uni and had loads of free time to spend on my cars.......
p.s, i see its having to slum it by sharing garage space with a 'w.o'

Re: Project Lunchbox.... The Minus
Ted, would you mind telling me where you bought your black crackle paint from and what brand it is please? I can't seem to get hold of any. I am sure you used to be able to get it for MGB dashboards. Love the project. The steering wheel looks great.

Well its passed!! yey!
Im off down to Uni in it today! look out on the A1
bit of gutting news though....
caught on my tyre over a pot hole... its my own fault really... i didnt get new cones for the front because i was being a tight get... so it was far too low... so i got my dad to pick up some on his way home from work and we swapped them over and put the hi-los on too... needs adjusting again as the cones are settling in...
im super gutted, but im trying not to think about it and think about what a great car it is! its very quick indeed!

Hey Ed
what a
dont know if you have Kent auto products around you?
they sell a Epoxy that is really strong, I mean REALLY REALLY strong
we used it to refit my wheelarches, to the new A panels, and -
I dropped a little onto the dirty garagefloor (this was 3 years ago)
and no one can get it off they all tried, kicking and hitting it -
but its still there just take care, if you use it, as it is EXTREMELY
unhealthy really smell toxic.

@JC:
The unhealthier it smells, the better it usually is

You can't have too many cars. Just too little space...

Well done on getting the MOT.
Poo happens, but I'll bet there's a massive grin on your face when you drive the Minus and that'll more than make up for the mishap.

Re: Project Lunchbox.... The Minus
yeah, i think i bonded them on too low... i need standard height shocks really to get it up a bit higher... what stiffness does people have their shocks at? ive got 15 clicks on the front and 12 on the back... still rub slightly... hmmm
the minus is great yeah, im down in hatfield now... the exhaust is blowing something rotten and it needs a good tune up... i stink and have a slightly light head... lol not good!!
i need a wheel bearing too.. oh, and my speedo is stupidly optermistic! hahaa!
oh what things we do!
