I think this could be one of my favourite Minis - I've seen it around quite a bit at various shows over the years (Race Retro etc) but don't know anything about it - anyone know it?

I do know, it belongs to the Wilkins together with the Cars and Car Conversions Cox GTM. That end of the row were from Redditch and District Car Club and MCR Central Midlands

I have a question for anyone who saw KDK at this event. Is that an early shell? It looks like maybe a 61 as the rear panel is not recessed and it lacks extra roof gutters on the sides. Maybe Pete can fill us in?

No, KDK is spot on, original body number etc. The rear was modified in period as was the front panel nibbled away etc etc, loads of interesting mods and with the owner's permission we can do a thread about the car at some point.

The Minisprint's an early shell though !

Thanks for spotting my question and replying pwmm! It's a lovely car as is the CCC GTM - Do you know any more about the spec of the Mini or its history - it looks like it's got every period rally extra and tasty bits fitted 8-)

Yes I will find out for you I regularly compete against them in mine but their's has had a 1380 so is pretty quick .
Off to Blenheim with them on Bank Holiday Monday we have a convoy going.
