thinking of selling

I have a 1963 mk1 super deluxe (floor start) Almond Green that im thinking of selling. The car has been an on going project and wouldn't take much to finish.

The car has had new front floors new wings, a panels, and front panel (with full skirt) all heritage panels.
The car is solid and it only needs from the door backwards painting and the roof.

The Interior is good and comes with a spare mk1 seat as the drivers is a clubman seat at the moment. also to go with is a new headliner. new carpet has been fitted. Also have a new loom for the car

The engine was an 850 when I bought the car but had been stored over 20 years with the head off and was shot so I put a fast road 1330 in which was build by a local engine builder last year at a big expense !

this is a list of things I have done to the car / spec of the car

1330 engine with 286 cam, duplex timing gear, gas flowed head, unleaded seats, lighten and balanced
1.5" twin su carbs
maniflow stage 2 exhaust manifold
maniflow 1 box manifold back exhaust system
MED itg filter kit with snub stacks
best tec new electronic distributor
2 core super cool radiator
rebuilt front and rear sub-frame painted black
new rear radius arms
kad rear camber kit
adjustable front lower arms
adjustable up-rated front tie rods
7.5" disk brakes
wide steel wheels
new brake and clutch master cylinders and new clutch slave
new rear drums and cylinders
new timkin wheel bearings all round

there is properly loads that I have forgotten but I have no idea what the car would be worth.. I dont have any photos of the car and the moment but just wanted a ball park idea so I could decide to keep it or sell it.

Hi James, It's very difficult to give a value without some decent pictures of your car. When panel work has been done so much depends on the door gap, welding quality etc.

Judging by the work you list as having been done & the parts that go with it, I would STRONGLY suggest that it would be much more worth your while to bite the bullet & finish the project than sell as an unfinished spares or repair type option, you will certainly get far more money back this way, all be it with the expenses involved in finishing. Who knows, when it's done you may have a change of heart.

totally agree, you will just have hassle and stupid bids etc etc,try and finish it, worth a lot more TO YOU finished, and to potential buyers ,
