Aley was a real purist in Mini terms, he liked the 997 when it came along but had no time for bigger engines did he ? A very European character as well in a time when Brussels was just the name of a sprout.

In 1966 there were two Dutch racing drivers racing for the John Aley racingteam.
one was a 999cc driven by Rinke vd Feer and the other one a 1293cc for Han Akersloot.
