Due to the popularity of the old b&w photos of 'custom' Mini's at the Donnington 20th 1979 in the 'So wrong yet cool?' thread here are some more of the other Mini's.

Found recently in my loft from the first major Mini event I attended way back in August 1979.............
The public car park for Mini's...............my long gone 1972 Mini is on the right of the Hornet (W & P arches and 6x10 Cosmic Slot Mags, 165x10 Goodyear Rally Specials)
Also see colour photo below.
Great photo's. I've been searching through the Mini Extravaganza photos for years looking for a photo of one of my old 59's that was entered into the concourse section on the day. It still had the letters of acceptance from the organisers and the concour d'elegance ticket and entrant number with it's history. Also had a copy of that brochure too. One day I hope to find of photograph of the car there to pass on to the new owner.

I will try to scan in some old photos which show them off better.......polished 'slot mags' were all the rage at the time due to the Custom Car craze, so I sold my Mamba 6x10's to buy a set of shiny Wolfrace 5x10 slot mags but then the wider 6x10 Cosmic Supaslots came out for Mini's so the Wolfrace were quickly sold and a trip to 'John Brown Wheels' in Croydon saw me purchase a set of the deep dish Cosmics!
For completeness here are the 'Custom' Mini's from the Mini 20th Birthday Extravaganza at Donnington 1979....... (All b&w Photos: Jon - Old Drag Racer)
