Badly damaged on the strip at Mini in the Park this weekend but luckily owner/driver Paul Wiginton who built this 1960 Minisprint is a panel beater....

"The car is fixable, it might need a new rear valance but the rest of it will knock out.
to be honest for years Ive been wanting to strip it, tidy it up and repaint it as I built it 13 years ago and its starting to show so now I have an excuse.
I think I might have got 1st gear instead of 3rd but not quite sure. I was doing around 70mph as I changed gear so doubt it was going much slower than that when it hit the concrete."
That is a nasty bump! I hope Paul is not feeling too stiff this morning. Although he is a superb panel master I reckon that is going to take some pulling out.
Very impressive Paul it happened just behind my trade stall looked and sounded as if your diff locked up and the look on the face of the the BMW drives was priceless Ive got a new old stock full rear panel in the work shop if it of any use to you or is it going to be ally
Paul has apologised to the BMW MINI driver via TMF.
"Emily ( who was in the Blue MINI Cooper S ) said she just froze and kept her foot on the loud pedal and closed her eyes. She was ok after a quick sit down and was back up the strip" http://www.theminiforum.co.uk/forums/to ... ?p=2871433
