Some Mk3's did have the small hub caps with a separate chrome ring, which was actually very flimsy anodised aluminium, rather like those on the clubman, & opening rear side windows. At the time of the introduction of the Mk3, I worked at a British Leyland dealers, but I can't actually remember the difference in the dashboard between the standard & SDL models. (I spent most of my time underneath them doing pre-delivery checks) Many if not all the automatic versions were in SDL trim.

Early production Mini's did not have drip rails spot welded to the side roof gutters. The drip rail was introduced in approx May 1960.
The drip rail was deleted again around the changeover from Mk3 to Mk4 bodyshell (late '76?). The changes are not always clear cut to an exact date as they were often phased in as old parts were used up at the factory.
