My first Mini Purchase in over 12 months!
Well, I actually made a purchase for the first time in ages this weekend!
I was at a classic car show / car boot and actually spotted a piece of Mini related stuff that I wanted straight away. It was a huge about 4' x 3' piece of showroom artwork from 1959 depicting a red 1959 Mini speeding by. It is of a very unusual type in as much as it looks like a photograph that has been hand tinted or augmented to give it a more arty feel. It was also an image that's background was recognisably Scarborough, the site of the original BMC dealer showroom. So I assume it was something that had been commissioned locally.
It is in generally good condition, the only real drawback being that one edge is quite severely water damaged, this does not go near the car, but it does spoil the overall look of the item.
The best thing was that it was (what I consider to be) a really good price. Certainly not your usual ebay nonsense!
will post a pic tomorrow.
