Just delving through some old pics yesterday of cars gone by ... usual gaggle of Minis, Coopers and the like, oh and joy my first 12 car rally car, like the door !!, loads more if i can find pics !

The white Mk3 was blatting round the rally course at the Gold Cup, well it was til it conked out.

yeah i saw it !!, it was always a sod to start for anyone else but me, suppose i built it and i just knew how many throttle pumps to give it and when just to catch it, and as i walked over to the start line he stalled it and it wouldnt start and got towed away, i thought mmm sharp exit ! , but would have been nice to thrash it round for a couple of laps

You could have gone in as a passenger, in fact in any of the rally cars though it wasn't widely known on the day ! That V8 Firenza looked a hoot !
