I knew the first Sprints had round headlights (as did the Danish Sprint) but there is no mentioning of different headlights,
or the policeman story on that site.

I have also seen later Sprint,s (original - not new ones) with round headlights .

...how cool is that !!! well observed , I guess most of us have seen the film, I don't recall ever noticing what is deffo a sprint .!!!.. u would of thought by 2013 most if not all of mini footage in old films would have been flagged up on here or the MCR forum..?!. jus goes to show !!! . foxy52
It was just a very lucky spot mate - the camera pans across towards the Sprint and a split second later cuts to the next scene... literally 'blink and you miss it' ;)

With countless film crews knocking about in the West End throughout the mid to late '60s, it wouldn't surprise me if there's some 16mm or even 35mm general street scene footage stashed away in a vault somewhere that's caught the odd Sprint or Radford by accident... you never know do you...!

Mark - do we know how many genuine S&A Sprints survive..?

I know I have said it before but having worked in the West End in the late 60,s ill never forget walking into Berkeley square on a delivery one morning in early 69 and stopping to gawp at a beaut of a Radford parked up,the thing that struck me was a wooden dash and thick squabs to the leather seats in a mini !!! that got me really hooked on minis as I was already in love with coopers.... I learnt to drive in a clubbie in the first year of production !...I cant say I ever remember seeing a sprint in those days, plenty of nice coopers and radfords though !! memories !!! foxy52

Yeps - sure do, its Justin,s Wood & Pickett Sprint .

Lives in sunny California.

Watch out for MW or MM in the months to come = it will have a full feature.
