Copenhagen Classic Autojumble 2-6-2013
Hi all,
I was attending this event on sunday, and took some photos, for you guys in UK.
There were soo many nice cars, but I will stick with the Mini,s on this thread.
1st up, is a rare "beast" Dont think I ever saw one before ? (as MK I)
Can anyone spot, whats special about this car ?
Here is Michaels early 59er.
He does have the correct washer bottle.
Notice the dead fly, no trailers here.
It was a nice day = no rain, so many people - rare & interesting cars to see,
and I met 2 people, with direct connections to my cars past
of which 1 gave me some very interesting info (more to come) .

id say so yes
1 1.2" carb + large air filter is the only hint due to jc's photo, he must have been laying down when he took that.
jc use your 9' tall body to your advantage!
please note, these are my own, individual sales, nothing whatsoever to do with my employer, minispares

Hi guys
Yes you are both soo right congratulations
Here are 2 more =
In this pic, you can see the special number plate light angle/extension bracket.
This was fitted on some export markets, Denmark & USA are 2 of them.
I certanly do use my height = I drive Mini
If you had only been there, when I drove on the podium
All the other winners, were interwieved sitting in their cars, but the judges wanted me to step out ha ha

The blue car I notice has indicators at the top of the B pillars.
Excuse my ignorance but is this a '59' or an 'export' thing?

No excuses needed here
This is legal requirements here in Denmark.
If you look at other Danish Mini,s they all have extra fitted indicators.
59 to 65/66(app?) they sat on the B post, from around 66/67 they were moved to the A panel,
and around 1968 & on, it was the front wings.

Used in the U.S., too. Mk I and the few Mk II cars that came in. The mount for the light part was father down and not so close to the bottom of the registration number to be able to clear the wider (top to bottom) plates.

In denmark they fitted these, either becourse you could see the white light, when driving behind a std type.
Or becourse in std position, the whole number plate wasnt lit up ?
I will ask some of the old BMC guys, next time I see them.
