Beaulieu 2013

Post by coopertim »

Morning all

The Beaulieu thread has gone very quiet! Are there many from the forum going this year and will there be a mk1 forum stand?

Im making the yearly pilgrimage south to hunt for treasure!

Cheers. Tim

Love your car Niall ;) :D

I will be going, probably not in my Mk1 as not quite on the road (very close) and probably wont have enough money to insure it :( Will be very tight but never say never.. But hope to go in my mk5 if I can finish putting my engine in and get that MOT'd and insured in time too!! Could do with that £83,000,000 lotto rollover to be paid in :D

I hope to make it this year with my Cooper S (assuming that I'm not busy putting racing cars back together in the garage!).

The weather looks very good for Beaulieu this year (after two damp years). TV chef and Mini Cooper Register member James Martin is going to be there with his two Works Minis as will Paddy Hopkirk and numerous other stars from Abingdon. There will also be a dozen Works Minis there to see as well as what should be a superb display of early 1071's celebrating 50 years of the Mini Cooper S - plus of course all the usual attractions, not to mention the Beaulieu car museum - all as part of the entry ticket. Should be a good day.

Looks OK from distance i'll give you that Tris!

Shame you aren't able to bring your CB car along as would've been useful to look at the original detailing on it.

Should still be a cracking weekend though.

Niall.
