And the two Cibie headlight rims...

Jay also found the one picture he has of the car during his time with it. It was taken at the old Jungleland theme park outside LA in Jan '71 and shows the car repainted (off-white he thinks) and with Gp5 arches and 12 x 7 Minilites.

Also amongst many tons of other treasure, Nancy Sinatra's Moke...

And a time-warp Mk2 S - 11000 miles from new, original paint (black roof oversprayed) and interior, engine never out, etc...

the red mk2 in the garage has legrand mags. they were made by legrand race cars in san fernando california.red legrand built some great formula and sports racers and made these wheels in many sizes.these are the only set of 10's i've ever seen.car runs and drives great...just sitting and usually covered. jw

Are you sure the Black roof is painted ? the later MK II,s didnt have 2 tone colours.
good morning
i've got the heritige cert, every reciept, service record, original sales reciept when purchased, everthing you could imagine pertaining to my car.the red repaint on the roof is slighly rubbed thru in places.the roof was repainted when the car was new.it's probably going to stay that way.the dunlop sp41 spare has never been used.perfect candidate to send to france to get sprinted...just joking jw

Hi Jay,
So cool when you have the whole history, and the paperwork
Seems like this was a common thing in the US, I have seen several cars with Black roof,s over painted, in the cars body colour.
Could it have to do with the warm climate ? that would make sence.
there was no reason to paint the roof red other than the original owner liked his mini in all red. i used to own a all black 998 rhd cooper. i pulled the headliner to repair the fuel pump wire and to confirm the color.i sold the car to a good friend in redmond washington. it has the red/gray interior but in the mid 70's the bottom was resprayed in a dark silver. it has a rokee dash and 5" cosmic mk2 wheels.good looking car.i bought it from one of my customers and it still has the 1275 and all sincro box i built in the mid 1970's.i'm happy that the original owner of my red mini didn't put on 6" wellers and paint it metallic brown. jw

At a guess & not having them to measure handy, I would say about 15mm tall.
I will however confirm later.

Thanks Mark. Any measurements you can provide will be appreciated. Even a photo with a lined rule or pound coin included for scale reference would be good.
Here are some photos showing the S & A Sprint stand at the 1967 Racing Car Show. The poster on the wall is clearly NGJ but which car was shown? Were the first few S & A cars built at Corsley Garage
I,ve got an S&A key fob which is exactly the same design as the badge but it measures 20mm x 30mm so it sounds bigger than the badge. There's a photo of it on the "period key fobs" thread here on the forum, cheers Tim
