I may be wrong but it seems you can actually be competative on a budget in HSCC Class D (as a couple of members of this board have proved) as opposed to App K/endurance racing and Minis can and do win the championships outright. Each to their own I suppose but I can certainly see a point to class D which to me is just as in tune if not more so with club racing in period .
