First event for me and the Orangebox for 2013 , and the first event for me since last september is this weekends Kirby Lonsdale Motor Clubs Devils Own. Only doing a few events this year as we are concentrating on our resoures on october/november when we are doing the Rally of The Tests.
We are lucky to have support from MINISPORT for this year, who many will know fielded their own 'works' cars on rallies for many years and i'm pleased to have them on board They have in the past won this rally with their famous NCK453P road rally Mini. There is a mix of moderns and historic crews out and some quick lads, going to have to pedal the little car hard, incidentally we have a combined car and crew age of 153 years Will let you know how we go on, 14 tests (including a forest) and two regularites, here the entry list:

Interesting to see Ian Curwen back out - I'm sure Bob'll be pushing you to beat him!

Re: DEVILS OWN HISTORIC RALLY 17TH MARCH
Well that was a different day to expected. Quite a few casualties of mechanical issues, Smoke being one unfortunately - looked to be going well too.
Personally I was a casualty of driver stupidity on at least 3 occasions, the worst resulting in 'parking' in a ditch in the forest
Therefore a little surprised to see the results and what seems to be a reasonable placed finish!
Thanks to Gary at Songasport for some great pics.

Re: DEVILS OWN HISTORIC RALLY 17TH MARCH
Yep we retired. On the way to he start ( i drive my car to and from most events) i got a puncture on the OSF, typically on a dual carriageway with no hard shoulder, one lane open etc and had to drive on the flat Changed the the fronts for my spares which are 'knobbies', and got ourselves sorted.
Event got underway and we were enjoying ourselves, going well, and enjoying the loose going. Unfortunately the OS rubber coupling started knocking/breaking up, another test taken gently and a gradual worsening i decided to call it a day. Seems we were second at the time by one second 1000 cc
PS. Anyone got a set of GENUINE QL5000 joints for a good cause
