I have received today my heritage certificate and have got some information I didn't expect. Comments about the findings would be great.
Chassis number correct MA2S4/560xx as expected
Paint colour as expected and exactly same as floors, wheel arches, base paint layers on body etc.
body number on floor is 40xxx, certificate states 48xxx
Specification is as expected
Engine number is 24xx on the V5, certificate states 79xxx
What do I believe. The car is nearly bare metal and there are no signs of been messed about with bar the usual sills, and 4 corners.
Comments all gratefully received!

Re: Heritage Certificate
The body number should be on the bonnet slam panel, the one on the floor is nothing to go by unless Simon has a magic formula like usual.

Re: Heritage Certificate
My car (Nov 1960) appears slightly earlier than yours with chassis number 52***. The engine number is quoted as 95879 and body number BMK45855.
The body number on my car is on a small plate screwed to the passenger side of the bulkhead, between the wiper motor and speedo aperture.
As Gray says, Simon is your man for number details.

Re: Heritage Certificate
If it helps, I've got a March (ish) 61 Morris with a body number starting BMK54+++ .
