Re: Knock On Wire Wheels for Minis
I quite like them, but think it depends on the style of the Mini - the blue Mk3 they show with them I think is the wrong car to wear them. Thinking they might look quite smart on my Traveller. They are a wicked price though. Give me a nice set of Rosepetals and a lot of change any day.

in 1971 or 1972 kieth ripp or john rettie gave me a set of dunlop wire wheel hubcaps with actual threaded spokes and nipples.i then bought a set of white wall bridgestone radials . i put them on a really nice wht/black 1966 coopers s and would drive it to the races so that my friends would laugh at me. it looked cool parked in the pits at riverside raceway and i remember strangers looking at the car and and shaking there heads.

Re: Knock On Wire Wheels for Minis
a few years ago i bought five 10"x2" 24 spoke nos chrome wires. i'm going to use them on a vintage 1954 jag 120 fiberglass body thats 6.5 feet long. the body is a leftover unbuilt kiddycar from the portland oregon rose festival parade in 1954. i became "gramps" in august of last year so i better get to work building the frame. look up lowrider magazine... i think the wheels would go great with a chrome chain steering wheel. there's probably a market in the sfv where i live.
