value of parts
Out of curiosity, I have a silver faced speedo and white binnacle, and I was wondering what these would be worth?

Re: value of parts
Yes. Silver faced 5 and 6 digit MPH speedos still turn up at autojumbles and Mini shows at prices starting from about a tenner. KPH ones in 5 and 6 digit are not as common but having said that, I have several examples of all these. Examples of any of these with trips are quite rare and may cost over £100 to buy as unrestored units. You don't say which one you have.
Cream pods with all 4 mounting holes intact are quite hard to find and I sell such items for around £60 but ones with the 2 lower holes broken are very common and may fetch £5 to £10. Early papier mache ones without damage should be worth considerably more, say £70 or so.
Basically you are asking how long is a piece of string. As with all antiques and Mini parts, quality counts for everything. Hope this helps.

Re: value of parts
Cheers - just doing a bit of a clear out and don't want to diddle myself out of a few pound or ask a fortune for something that isn't!
The speedo is 6 digit without a trip, and the binnacle is mint with all mounting holes intact. Nice to know the prices.
