Hate to state the obvious but you'd have just escaped from the funny farm to think you could buy a Mk1 S for that money anyway, let alone pay for it up front !

i dont inderstand why someone would spend ages welding loads of small patches into one area, rather then just chopping the lot out and putting one big one in!
that floor is hilarious!
maybe its some sort of rudimentary overlapping amour plating?
please note, these are my own, individual sales, nothing whatsoever to do with my employer, minispares

Thats the sort of minimalist welding that garages do to squeak it throught the MOT, a patch on a patch on a patch instead of doing the job properly.
Thats just horrible.

More plates than the Ark Royal. I particularly like the ones that are formed in 90 degree corners ! Just shows you people are still happy to botch and patch these cars up.

Well the way early "roundnose" Mini ownership is going it certainly beats waking up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat desperately wondering whether the date stamps on my boot lock and dipswitch match !

a true expert would have then poured liquid black tar underseal in to a depth of 1/2" and let it dry to a smooth hard finish.
a real true expert would have also thrown the carpet on top so that it dried to the tar, so prospective purchasers wouldnt be able to lift it up to see how bad the floor was.

Loving the pooch action there Ian, I wonder what the scrutineer will say when I put mine in ?!! I may well stick a pork pie hat over my skid lid to match.
