Just read about this car in Practical Classics - what an amazing bit of welding too. How did it end up as just a floor and bulkhead?!

Having spent my kids inheritance buying this 970S from nippycars just after they found it, I can explain!
Fred of nippycars was going to repair the bins and rear floor as they werent too bad, but decided to replace them all instead. He drilled through the spot welds, took off the roof and side panels, bunged in the new bins and floor, and then replaced the original side panels etc all while the remains of the body was on his jig.
Nightmare. I was panicking!
He seemed confident of the quality of the eventual outcome as he been there so many times before, and the result was really excellent in the end.
Like most projects, the work to do just got more and more extensive if you are committed to do it properly. I never seem to learn!

What a beauty!
I'd much rather "inherit" that S than anything else, and to be honest your money is probably better invested in it than any bank at the mo ;) ;) ;)
