Differences between Twin SU's
Would somebody know the differences between Cooper S and 998 Cooper Twin SU's in detail?
I have countless sets and as far as I can fathom the only difference lies in the vacuum take off on one (half) of the 998 Cooper Cooper Carb. Anything else?? Can they be modified to suit a Cooper S?? Cheers. Mark

While on the subject of twin SU's, can MGB HS4's be used on a mini manifold in a mini?
Cheers

can be done using part #12G2464. mk 3 s. i think. you might have to modify the vacume outlets if your running a servo and pcv valve but the bosses are there. jw

Re: Differences between Twin SU's
There's a difference in the manifolds (because of the connection for the servo), the cooper set-up has indeed a vacuum pick-off (that can be blocked)
And the piston springs of a cooper are the "blue" ones, the S ones are the "red" ones.

Re: Differences between Twin SU's
The ST HS4 manifold is commonly named AEG489 while 12G2464 is one of the variants of that around (that one had the two vacuum holes not drilled at the factory) In essence they are all the same casting as a AEG 573 just a different stud placement.
