Straight or cranked magic wand?

Would a June 1960 Morris have had a straight or cranked magic wand? Mine was changed to a remote change but I am considering a 4 synch hybrid with the proper gear selector.

Remember the 4 synch magic wand gearlever is different, ie. has the keyway slot in the ball at the top not side.



Photo shows parts needed to run the magic wand set up with the remote diff casing.
eg. when a 4 synchro box is used on a mk1

2A3467 Bush
2A3390 Spring
22A1832 Seat / Locating foot
88G553 Selector shaft
22A1717 Cover
22A1382 Gearlever 1968-75 (Later type wand with slot at the top of ball)

3 synchro type (both have slot at the side)
22A91 GEAR LEVER, straight 1959-61.
88G232 GEAR LEVER, cranked 1961-68

Thank you for pointing that out, I was definitely heading down the wrong path. Great to have a forum like this to learn from others.

The parts list is a big help. I recall reading somewhere that the adapter plate is difficult to obtain.

The parts are around as they were fitted to the Mk2 onwards basic/850 Mini's, Vans and Pickups which retained the magic wand gearlever but you may have to search around or ask on the forums for the necessary bits.
