Hello from the far North West of England
I bought this 1962 997 project on eBay late last year.
The bad bits:
Missing parts: the headlining frames, instrument cowl and small instruments, air filters, front seats
Originally registered on a private plate and then given a 1963 'A' plate sometime in the eighties.
The good bits:
Heritage certificate and V5C.
Engine, gearbox, running gear all appear original
Included parts: 100mph Speedometer, new crank, spare brake calipers
And, best of all (in my opinion), it was originally Fiesta Yellow with Powder Blue interior.
I need some advice from you guys regarding engine modifications so I'll post my questions elsewhere on the forum and possibly start up a project thread to map the progress.

Re: 997 Cooper Project
Yes I picked it up in Brigg. The vendor is the guy with his back towards the camera and the other gentlemen are from the bodyshop that will be restoring the shell (if they ever get their finger out and start!).
About 20 years ago I restored a MK2 'S' (VHN909G if anyone has seen it) and did everything myself but this time I'm leaving the welding to the experts.
