1965 MK1 Rebuild

Post by 1977peter »

Hope you like the pictures of my 1965 mini minor project.

I am a lot further along with the rebuild than these pictures show, and will add more pictures soon.

Quite a rare colour Island Blue on a '65 car as it was introduced quite late in the year to replace Surf, orange was even rarer !

Is that an original colour option? I don't think I've ever seen one like that before.

Sorry that i have taken so long to update my rebuild, it is now finished-MOT last thursday[30th]sailed through, rolling road[fri]at sanspeed[bexleyheath]118BHP'@wheels.Had faultless run to Brighton on sunday-no oil or water leaks.I entered show "n" shine[for the secure parking ]and managed a 2nd place ,so altogether a great day out!Had some very nice compliments and the engine bay even made it into mondays telegraph motoring [online] suppliment-if anyone took pics i would love to see them.
