lhd 997 rebuild

am just part way through a LHD 997 rebuild and thought i'd put a few pictures up to show these cars are worthy of restoring as are so rare now,
Originally sent to the States in Surf blue from new, but purchased by a German classic car restorer in 2012, i was fortunate to meet him at the Sept autojumble where i was displaying a 970s i had just finished, he made some very nice comments and asked if i'd restore his cooper, well 2 weeks later it arrived in the back of a sprinter, it appears to have been raced in the past with some mod's to the floor which resulted in a new floor assembly being built, its now nearly to accept the main body.

Yes I do. Man it looked pretty good beforehand. Those floors are a work of art. Love it and love the spirit levels

Fred,
I love the chassis jig you have for restoring the cars on clever! Ian you bet me to it :lol: But the colour! what can I say class and I'm not bias on surf blue ;-) . Great work as always!

am going to put loads of pictures up just to show how consistently crap i am!!

Nev, as its your favourite colour, i might even let you see the Surf blue 970 i'm doing :D ,

Hi Tim

most of them, the boot floor is in a 998, had to get another boot floor for this one, the inner wings aren't allocated yet,
i think the rest will go on this one,
am chuffed with my purchase from you, cheers.

All behind the scenes stuff, but am actually on the 997 tomorrow,

970s and 998 ready for paint now so can get the welders out, more pictures very soon,
