Re: Speedwell Rocker Cover
Thats the "Speedwell" alloy rocker cover I was thinking of.
As I say, all the ones I have ever known about came from Aus or NZ, so I have always assumed that they came from down that direction to begin with.

Re: Speedwell Rocker Cover
I cant believe the price of that rocker cover. Are there really that many stupid people about to bid it to that amount when a quick google would prove its clearly not right.
Also looks like he's selling my old mag minilites. Blathered them in red primer to cover up the pitting.
Anyone see the NOS mk1 gear knob go for over £90 the other week? Madness.

I guess the thing with auctions is that it only takes 2 idiots to bid anything up to a ludicrous level.

Re: Speedwell Rocker Cover
I don't reckon that there is as much of that as some people do. Of course it goes on, but for the shill bidder to be successful in pushing the price of an item up there still needs to be a genuine buyer who has mental issues.

Re: Speedwell Rocker Cover
Someone is going to be very disappointed, they were well ripe when I had these, as one of the photos shows, and sold them for next to nothing.

I sold them them for about £160, wish i'd kept them now and slung them in my lock up for posterity. They certainly weren't fit to go on a driveable car.

Re: Speedwell Rocker Cover
The thing with selling on ebay is that if you put a large rake of stuff on in one go there is a sort of gravitational pull around it. People see interesting stuff & they want it, they assume that because the guy has lots of "good" stuff it must be worth having & bidders swarm over it like Piranhas. I have seen this happen many times in the past too.

Good! I'll shortly be listing a lot of display mounted genuine Ecurie Ecosse mechanical parts - diffs, gears etc as well as toolboxes etc for a friend of mine.
Fingers crossed for a swarm of buyers!
