I compiled a list to answer a friend and posted it on my blog a few days ago.

I made a few assumptions based on observation, feel free to discuss!

Wasn't there a thread about there being a 998 and 1071 version of the 12A185?

Yes just one look at the huge valves on S version of the 185 distinguish it from the 997 version. The one that went on Ebay was a proper 'S' one , ready to go and cheap. There's a 997 one on Minimania drilled for 11 studs.

All have the same angles. 30º IIRC.

Is there metal present for such a modification in that type of head?

ok thanks so basically your saying all the mini manifolds P P1 P2 997, 1071,1275 all have a 30degree tilt ? so for my 65 austin cooper s it really does not matter which manifold i use as long as it has the two breathers on it(for servo etc ? :)

Yes.

For a 65 Cooper S, with servo and PCV, the following will work in standard form:
- 12A661P AEG347
- 12A661P2 AEG347
- AEG573
- 12G2463

The original manifold is AEG347.

You can also modify a Cooper (1004) manifold to take the servo.

It looks like an AEG347 but without asking the seller you'll never know, unless you buy it of course.

The AUD104 stamps indicate Cooper 998, so it could also be a 1004 modified.

Ask the seller for the stamps.
