Cooper "S" mk1 - FIA race car

Post by GTEm »

It's time to present you my Cooper mk1 race car.

It was built in the 90's as a rally car never really race and change 3 time of owner. The last one race it at "Toutr de corse historique" and crash it. He finally decides to sell it.

I began to repare it but as I'm a young dad (2 childrens 2.5 years and 5 months) the work doesn't progress enough.

Finally I had the opportunity to buy a mk1 shell ever restore and I'm using it for the race car, I'm keeping the bleu shell for spare.

For the moment, the bodyshell isn't in my garage, and I need to work on my others classics (Metro mk1, Austin A35 and Austin 1300GT) to sell them. After that I will use all my spare time to work on the racer ;)

Ouch! That doesn't look easy to repair!

Can you still buy the side panels for mk1's?

Good luck on the build.

I plane to used a second hand mk2 roof with a pilar from the car on the album. With the new bodyshell I do it later.
