new log books ( uk only )

As you may be aware, DVLC are sending out new red colured log books to replace the blue ones. This was supposed to be done by the end of November. If you have an old car sittting in your shed, be aware they are not sending out the new books to everyone.
It seems to be cars that are not covered by a SORN that are being missed out.
If you want an up to date log book you can phone them with your detais and they will send one to you.
yes, when I phoned, it was answered by a real person, straight away ! The even sorted the problem there end then.

Aparently they can only process a maximum of 10 log books at a time.

conversely wait till u have to re tax (get new free tax disc if an historic car) and fill out change of addr section while in post office....as is our problem owning more than one property and more than one car as vehicle its still shown at another addr... lol nothing is simple anymore and verbal advise about where u live is not acceptable.. they will only sent out new books if car is reg where u reside......i filed out change of addr last feb... ??!! the paperwork got lost in the system.. its crap !!!! foxy52
