Post by mini129 »

Does anyone have a photo of the temperature gauge that went into the very early 997 coopers with the degrees c graduations?

Hi Len,

Where were you at the weekend?

Stamford hall wasn't quite the same without you there!

Hi Mark,

Where were you at the weekend? At Beaulieu,

The first time in many many years we have not gone to Stanford Mini show (one of the best shows I think) we are starting to wind the Mini shows up, only done 3 this year and 2 were a waste of time and money, so next years MCR day at Beaulieu maybe the last one for us, but my interest in these old 60's Minis and parts is still very strong as I have still got alot of parts and I still go looking for more 60's nos and steering wheels, I know its madness but I like hunt.

Len.

I had one I sold to Trevor out of my old Super that had different markings, think it had 50 and 100.

Len, could you please make a picture of the rear side to see what the connectors look like?

Hi Len,

I guess I'm not the only person who has noticed that the amount of early stuff available to both buy & sell is going down.

I'm really sorry to hear that you have decided to more or less knock the shows on the head all together, at least when you were attending a show I could be guaranteed something interesting to look at, a good chat & usually a cuppa or bacon sarnie.

I look forward to seeing you at Beaulieu if not before.

That is interesting! The one in the pictures below came with my December 1964 Cooper S. I had a pointing bezel of course but has now been converted to a round bezel as I have fitted it to my Mk II Cooper. The interesting thing is that the connectors are different. So, I guess mine is for a voltage regulated system and not of the instant type in Len's pictures. Can anybody confirm my thoughts here??
