Few more pieces added to the jigsaw puzzle tonight now I found some subtle fixings.
Both radius arm covers fitted. Still not sure yet whether to colour code the fixings or not!

Few more little jobs ticked off the list
Managed to source some seatbelts as don't fancy driving the car without . Opted for these 3 point chrome buckled items in grey (shipped from USA as it was cheaper) and suitable BMC stickers from ebay. No they are not the original period Britax items but was not paying the ridiculous prices they seem to sell for.
Stickers applied
Mounted to floor (via strengthened plate and suitable thread welded on the underside of the floor during earlier body works)
And what they look like both fitted
Also fitted the refurbished indicator stalk and column cover
Managed to get an original bakelite steering wheel early on in the project as the one on the car was wrong. At last its fitted after being fully refurbished.

That really is a credit to you. Seat belts are a nice (and life saving) feature but like you I don't value life as much as a set of NOS britax either You mention that you have refurbished teh indicator stalk. How was this done? Body filler and black paint? Cheers. Mark BTW I am too lazy to look through the thread to see if it is already there

Actually got a friend to turn up the end in alloy and then painted it black. The original was not only broken but had shrunk so the new green end wouldn't screw into the thread even if repaired. With the option I went for it's all a perfect fit and should last

The belts look great. I've been buying up Britax ones over the last few years, they fit better with our rego requirements, but they are expensive.

Sun visors with newly chromed original brackets
Refurbished rear view mirror
Original glass shows its age
Manged to sort the 4 fixings for the boot liner
And thanks to the search function on this great web forum I tracked down the chap to scource new decals for the jack which is next up for a refurb

How are the rear quarter light panels held into the car? These are the panels between the rear window ans rear side windows. I know the rear side windows hinge screws go through these panels, but what else?

The rubber that holds the rear window in place fits over the edge of the C post trim on that side - same with the rubber that seals the rear side windows. In addition to that, the bottom section of the C post trim is a loose flap of fabric that gets stuck down on the rear parcel shelf with adhesive. Glad to report a major milestone happened at the weekend
The car saw the road for the first time on Saturday for a trip to the MOT station following the resto. Coupled with the V5 and the last MOT slip dated 1996 I made the trip to the MOT station and I am really pleased to report that it passed all ok
Felt great to drive, engine/gearbox was perfect and certainly turned a few heads on a sunny Saturday afternoon. There are a few minor niggles to remedy which came to light once moving but just tax disc to sort and some minor tinkering and were all good for the summer.
Once it has had a good clean and polish up (still not been touched since painting) I'll post up some finished pics.
