Cooper S identification

Post by Fanfaniracing »

Hi Folks

I need some Help of the specialists in this Forum.

I had a look at a Cooper S from someone who asked me for help as he has not much experiance in the Mini things.

My Question: Is it Possible that a Morris Cooper S wit the production Number 552750 can be a 1275 or also a 1071?

Where is the difference?

The Car was first registered in 20.8.64.

Thanks for Help
I promise i won't buy another MkI...

go to heritage certificates site and pay a 5GPB fee and you'll be able to find out if that number is a Cooper, or a Cooper S. at 552K the number could be 970,998,1071 or 1275cc

That chassis number couldn't be a 970 or 1071 and extremely unlikely to have been a 998.

That chassis number is from a Morris 1275 S - built on a dry sunny Tuesday.
The power of accurate observation is commonly called cynicism by those who do not possess it.
